Thanks for showing an interest in joining our award-winning professional display crews. To join the crew, we need you to complete our online application form below. There are five pages of straightforward questions and the form will take you around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Initial training in 2015 will take place on Saturday 17th October 2015, to be followed by a training fireworks display that evening. You must be able to attend that training session.

Describe your own level of experience with fireworks *

Have you fired displays before, either as part of a private organisation (eg: a school parent) or for a fireworks company? How long have you had an interest in fireworks? Don't worry if you have no experience - we'll teach you!

Good communication is essential in fireworks. Please give us an example of when you have had to use good communication skills *

This doesn't need to have involved fireworks

Describe a situation where you have built a good relationship with a customer *

As well as firing good firework displays, we also need our people to portray a professional image in front of our clients and to give good customer service (this doesn't have to involved fireworks). If you've not had any customer experience, for example if you've recently been at school or college, don't worry, just say so in the box

Once you have earned your BPA Firers qualification and have gained the necessary experience, it may be possible for you to become a Senior Firer for Star Fireworks, taking leadership of our displays. Is this something that you would like to progress to? Do you have any leadership or management experience?

Don't worry, it's not necessary to have previous leadership or management experience to join our crew

Please tell us about your hobbies and interests *

Please tell us about any special skills you have that would be useful in fireworks *

For example, you may be good at woodwork, graphics design, music-editing or be a qualified electrician

Please list any work-related training or qualifications that you hold and the year obtained/renewed

Examples might include NEBOSH, first aid qualifications, fork-lift truck, working at height, qualified trainer etc. If you have a current British Pyrotechnists Association qualification (eg firer, senior firer) then please list it here, and please put your firer’s ID number next to it. If you don't have anything to list here, don't worry, it's not a problem

As a fireworks company, we need our display crews to be available on the busiest days of the year. Please tick the days when you would most likely be available to work for us *
