Berkshire based Star Fireworks was established in 1971 as a family business, selling fireworks through a Bracknell retail premises. Since that time the business has evolved into the international display company they are today, with a growing list of clients at home and overseas.
In recent years the company has gained a reputation for quality displays for high profile clients and venues including The Rolling Stones, Christina Aguilera, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dame Shirley Bassey, Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, Blue Peter, Warwick Castle, Wembley Arena, City of Manchester Stadium, Murrayfield Stadium and the spectacular fireworks finale for the last six series of Channel 4’s Big Brother. Corporate clients include Marks and Spencer, Safeway Stores, De Beers Diamonds, Nissan and BMW with international events spanning the globe including for the Crown Prince of Dubai, The Royal Air Force on bases overseas including the South Atlantic and even snowy Copenhagen for a major corporate bank.
Star Fireworks import their own range of fireworks from China and also import display fireworks from some of the best European manufacturers. They operate a state-of-the-art computerised digital firing system capable of firing shows from the smallest of product launches right through to the largest national events. The Company are members of The British Pyrotechnists Association and carry £10million year round public liability insurance.

About the pyrotechnics
•We only use British-manufactured pyrotechnic effects that have been manufactured to the highest quality standards.
•Huge effects range from streamers, glitter and confetti, through to gerbs, airbursts, waterfalls, smoke, concussions and flame projectors.
•All effects come with full manufacturers data sheets, recommended safety distances and procedures.
•All effects are scaleable to suit the location and proximity to audience, crew and set.
•All effects are fired from manufacturer’s own design firing equipment, from smoke pods and glitter cartridges through to gerb holders and waterfalls. All overhead equipment rigged with appropriate safety harnesses/chains by qualified rigging technicians.
•All effects fired using one of the company’s state-of-the-art digital firing systems, allowing computerized SMPTE time-code synchronised firing of effects. Effects systems feature US-style ‘dead-man’ technology to prevent firing in the event of an incident.
About our safety
•Thorough risk analysis of every aspect of each event resulting in full risk assessment and method statement. A typical large concert or stadium based event may have 15 or more detailed pages of safety related paperwork.
•Group DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser) ensures compliance with Health and Safety legislation and expert source of advice on all explosives related matters.
•Health and Safety Executive Explosives Inspectorate issued licences place additional rules and safety regulations on the company over and above the average small special effects/fireworks company.
•Recognised management structure within the company, all events and displays led by an experienced Team Leader (Crew Chief). All Team Leaders and crew supervised by our Display Manager. Training and training refresher courses regularly carried out by personnel.
•All consumer fireworks sold to the general public tested to comply with BS7114:2:88
•Star Fireworks Code of Practice for Display and Pyrotechnic Effect Operators is applied to all work undertaken by the Company.
